Terms and conditions (as your retail agent)

Your holiday Direct Agent is acting as an agent for the tour operator or supplier. Your contract is subject to the conditions set forth in the applicable tour operator or supplier's booking conditions or in the case of an airline, that airline's usual booking conditions.

Your holiday Direct Agent is a retail agent to ATOL holders. You are not covered by ATOL when tickets for scheduled flights are sent to you within 24 hours of payment being accepted, or where your payment is made direct to airlines.
ATOL Protection extends primarily to customers who book and pay in the United Kingdom.

Your holiday Direct Agent is a member of Holiday Direct Limited. All payments will be made to Holiday Direct Limited.

According to CAA rules, the ATOL protection scheme does not extend to any booking with a non UK departure point (this includes the Channel islands and the Isle of Man). All 'multi leg' trips which travel via the UK are classed as non UK departure.

Holiday Direct Limited use a centralised 'Trust Account' which holds your funds until the money is paid to another body (bonded holiday suppliers). The holiday supplier then becomes legally responsible for the protection of the funds and for providing you with the holiday as agreed.

An independent Trustee has been appointed who authorises, in conjunction with Holiday Direct Limited., the release of funds from the Trust Account. This is to protect your funds in the event of financial failure of your travel agent or Holiday Direct Limited.

In practice, this means that in the event of the financial failure of your travel agent or Holiday Direct Limited your travel arrangements will not be affected.
